Friday 07‑06‑2002 Zuid‑Veluweroute

The last route starts with the ferry to the old land. Over small  roads and through the woods we cycle to the Arnhemse Karweg, an old connecting road between Harderwijk and Arnhem. In Stroe is a possibility for a coffee break, after that we arrivee in Harskamp, where the shooting course of the military is established including two museums. Otterlo, the gate to the National Parc The Hoge Veluwe. The Ginkelse Heide existing of two estates, with wood and some pieces of agriculture, hosting 2 flock of sheep. Bameveld famous for it's eggs and Jan van Schaffelaar, who jumped from the tower in 1482 to rescue the lives of his comrades. Nijkerk, where we find the weekly market, so it's extra cosy! After that we cross the bridge and follow the route into the polder to Zeewolde. Friday evening we have the Fareweü BBQ. From 19.00 hrs. is everybody welcome to burn meat, chicken, etc. Meat can be ordered and paid in HQ. Hopefully will the weather cooperate and will we have a nice farewell barbecue.
